Abstract
Objective To investigate the indication and complication of retaining tracheal intubation in oral and maxillofacial surgery ,and to explore the reasonable management program. Methods All 56 patients with retaining tracheal intubation were monitored in ICU after oral and maxillofacial surgery. The complications were observed and the treatment of analgesia and sedation were given if necessary. Results The times of intubation retaining were 0.5 to 5 days with an average of 1.25 days. While 2 cases were separately received a tracheostomy owing to heart problems and lack of prophylactic ventilation,one case died of airway obstruction induced with sputum crust. Conclusion Retaining tracheal intubation could improve the successful ratio of operation and life quality of patients in oral maxillofacial surgery.关键词
