Abstract
Flame synthesis of carbon nanotubes (CNTs) with small diameter and fewer walls was synthesized using substrate-support catalyst Fe/Mo/Al2O3 and CO as carbon source via oxyacetylene pyrolysis flame.To study the effects of every catalyst operation on synthesis result, different catalysts calcination temperatures and reduction temperatures were analyzed contrastively in this work.The results indicated that a calcination temperature of 900 ℃ could reduce the size of catalyst particles effectively,facilitate size unity and dispersing uniformity on substrate.On the basis of preventing elemental iron particles formed via reduction from polymerizing to large size then losing small size characteristics necessary to synthesize carbon nanotubes with small diameter and fewer walls a reduction temperature of 400 ℃ can effectively reduce oxide particles size and facilitate their dispersing uniformity further through reduction.关键词
