摘要

Abstract

The Luding Hydropower Station discharges flood by using foundation pit overflowing with large discharge and complex pattern in two consecutive flood seasons. As the tail water of station is close to Luding City, the flood discharge is very important to the safety of Luding City. The schemes of overflowing protection for foundation pit are compared, and verified by hydraulic model testes. The economic and reliable protection scheme is finally proposed. The overflowing protection has withstood the floods in 2008 and 2009, and shows the protection can meet the requirements on safe flood control.
