The simulation of output characteristics of DSSC based on MATLAB/Simulink

Abstract
According to the equivalent circuit of dye-sensitized solar cells(DSSC), a simulation model was built up using MATLAB/Simulink tool, which was used to simulate the output characteristics and output power of DSSC. The effect of series resistance and parallel resistance on the performance of DSSC was investigated. The results indicated that the density of short-circuit current, the maximum output power and the fill factor were decreased with increasing series resistance, whereas the open-circuit voltage, the density of short-circuit, the maximum output power and the fill factor was increased with increasing parallel resistance, and quantitative value increased slower. Such results can be used to direct experiments. By reducing resistance of battery and contacting the materials closely, the value of series resistance would be decreased and the properties of DSSC would become more better. The value of parallel resistance would be increased by coating dense membrane on the substrate, and the performance of DSSC would also be better.关键词
