Abstract

Objective To discuss the relationship between nursing students' humanistic caring ability and students' perception of clinical teachers' caring behavior and to provide reference for the cultivation of nursing students' humanistic caring ability.Methods Nursing Students' Humanistic Caring Ability Scale and Students' Perception of Clinical Teachers' Caring Behavior Scale were applied. Results The total score of nursing students' humanistic caring ability were (88.95±11.98), with a scoring rate of 74%and the average score of students' perception was (3.09±0.40), with a scoring rate of 77%. There was positive relationship between nursing students' humanistic caring ability and students' perception (r=0.386, P=0.000). Conclusion It is necessary to improve nursing students' humanistic caring ability during clinical teaching. Students' perception of clinical teachers' caring behavior is a significant factor which exerting influence on their humanistic caring ability.
