摘要

Abstract

Nano-magnesium hydroxide were synthesized using dolomites as raw materials, reacting with hydrochloric acid and then with ammonium hydroxide solution at 25 ℃. The influences of pH value and aging time on the yield rate and morphology of Mg (OH)2 were investigated by scanning electron microscopy(SEM) and X-ray diffraction( XRD ). The results show that the Mg(OH) 2 samples reach the highest yield rate at pH = 12. Effect of pH value on the growth mechanism of Mg(OH)2 crystal during crystal process was also discussed. The obtained magnesium hydroxide is mainly changed from lamellar to rod as the aging time increasing.
