Abstract
Objective To evaluate the diagnostic value of serum ( 1-3 ) -β-D-glucan for deep fungal in fection in children.Methods The concentration of serum ( 1-3 ) -β-D-glucan was detected by Microbiology Kinetic Rapid Detection System MB-80 and Kinetic Mycetes Detection Kit GKT-5M Set,and the statistical analysis was carried out. Results There were 20 positive samples by fungal cultivation in 46 children who were suspected to deep mycosis, with the positive rate of 43.5 %; 28 positive patients were identified by the detection of serum ( 1-3 ) -β-D-glucan, with the positive rate of 60.9 % ( x2 = 8.0000, P = 0.0047 ).The concentration of ( 1-3 ) -β-D-glucan in deep fungal in fection group with positive fungal cultivation was 86.46 ± 23.68 pg/ml,while the concentration of serum ( 1-3 )-β-D-glucan in deep fungal in fection group with negative fungal cultivation was 38. 24 ± 19.35pg/ml. All the sample s in contrast group were negative by two methods. The concentration of (1-3)-β3-D-glucan in deep fungal in fection group was significantly higher than that of in contrast group (F= 117.8, P =0.0000), and significant difference was also be found in the concentration of ( 1-3 )-β-D-glucan in deep mycosis with or without positive fungal cultivation results ( t= - 5.5375, P = 0.0000). Conclusion With more convenient, faster and higher positive rate than fungal cultivation, the detection of serum ( l-3)-β-D-glucan can be used in the early diagnosis of deep fungal in children.关键词
