Switched Reluctance Generating Characteristics of a 30/20-pole Hybrid Excitation Doubly Salient Generator

Abstract
This paper researched the switch reluctance generating (SRG) mode of a 30/20-pole doubly salient hybrid excitation machine (HEDSG). At first, the finite element simulation model was set up. The no-load situation of the 30/20-pole hybrid excitation doubly salient generator was simulated. And the air gap flux density drawing and the voltage waveforms were obtained from the simulation. Then, the output voltage waveforms under different loading current with SRG mode were obtained from the simulation and experiments. The external characteristic of the SRG mode with the HEDSG was induced. The relationship between the output voltage and the loading current was analyzed. At last, the field current regulation function for the output voltage of the SRG mode of the HEDSG was verified by simulation and experiments. The experimental results show that the short-circuit current can be limited by asserting the negative field current.关键词
