Abstract
The mechanism of commutation failures in ±800 kV DC power transmission caused by the single-phase fault in AC system, the fault of trigger system and short-circuit of converter valve as well as the characteristics of subsequent control and protection are analyzed. Using equivalent system of China Southern Power Grid, the commutation failures caused by above-mentioned three kinds of inducements are simulated by real-time digital simulation (RTDS) based digital-analogue simulation platform for DC control and protection, and the control characteristics and protection coordination under commutation failures caused by different inducements are researched and the differences among dynamic characteristics are investigated. Simulation results show that the characteristics of control and protection under commutation failures in ±800 kV DC power transmission caused by different inducements are not the same one another.关键词
