Abstract
[ Objective ] To determine the antimicrobial activities of different extracts from Ceratostigma minus Stapf ex Prain, so as to provide scientific evidence for further development of Ceratostigma minus Stapf ex Prain. [ Method ] The different extracts of Ceratostigma minus Stapf ex Prain were prepared and were subjected to bacteriostatic tests in vitro by agar spread method. MIC and MBC value were determined by microdilution method. [ Result ] The extracts were provide with antimicrobial activity against Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Candida albicans in different degrees, among which, the petroleum ether layer of Ceratostigma minus Stapf ex Prain from alcoholic extracts showed strong inhibitory activities against the above 4 bacteria with the minimum inhibitory concentrations (MIC) to them of 0. 005, 0. 078, 0. 156 and 0.005 mg/ml respectively. [ Conclusion] The extracts of Ceratostigma minus Stapf ex Prain show broad spectrum of antimicrobial activity including antimicrobial effect to drug resistant bacteria, which provides scientific evidence for further development of Ceratostigma minus Stapf ex Prain.关键词
