新疆不同杨树品种对叶锈病的抗病性
Poplar resistance to Melampsora rostrupii rust in Xinjiang

Abstract
Many new cultivars and clones followed stock breeding of poplar. Here, resistance to a leaf rust Melampsora rostrupii with 57 poplar species or cultivars was studied using a pathogenic index and a confrontational index. Results revealed strong differences among the 57 hybrid poplars for resistance to the leaf rust. The incidence rate was 0 - 100% with a disease index of 0 - 82.1 and a confrontational phase index of 0 - 100. For poplar species or cultivars (clones) 18 (31.6%) showed high resistance to the rust, 6 (10.5%)showed mid-resistance, 15 (26.3%) showed low resistance, 10 (17-5%) showed mid-susceptibility, and 8 (14.0%)showed high susceptibility. Thus, different poplar hybrid combinations from the same cross showed diversity in resistance to this leaf rust.关键词
