摘要

Abstract

[ Objective ] The aim was to investigate the possibility of gene flow from transgenic rice to barnyard grass. [ Method ] The transgenic rice line in the 4th generation with single-copy hpt gene was obtained from Zhonghua 11, a Japonica rice cultivar, mediating by Agrobacterium tumefaciems. PCR amplification was performed to detect whether there is hpt gene in the barnyard grass seeds natural growing in the field or planted in the plot where transgenic rice planting. [ Result ] The foreign hpt gene has not been detected in anyone of the 22 000 seedlings from several barnyard grass plants. [ Conclusion ] The foreign gene flow from stably inherited transgenic rice lines to barnyard grass has not been found in this study.
