Abstract
DC breaker is the crucial apparatus in metro system for removal of faults. Compulsive arc extinguishing is the main method used in DC breakers in our metro system, so the breaking current is very high, which can prevalently burn down the DC breakers. On the basis of mathematic model of electric arc, this paper established a simulation system in Matlab. And then, the simulation result proves that the high current directly leads to the burn of traditional DC breaker. In order to overcome the defect of traditional breaker, an improved DC breaker is proposed in this paper. Meanwhile, a new electric structure of breaker with its new simulation model is built in this paper. Finally, the simulation shows the ideal charicteristic of arc extinction and the low burn probability of contactor of new type DC breaker, and this design will find many application in the future.关键词
