Experimental research on online brain-computer interface based on motor imagery EEG

Abstract
According to research and application of brain-computer interface (BCI) technology, an online robot control system based on motor imagery electroencephalogram (EEG) was realized, which consists of universal serial bus (USB) EEG amplifier, the open interface EEG acquisition and experimental platform,feature extraction algorithm based on discrete wavelet transform (DWT) and autoregressive model (AR) coefficient, robot control circuit, and robot.80 online experiments were conducted on 20 subjects on this system respectively, and separating capacity of three different EEG signals generated from hand movement imagery was compared and analyzed.Furthermore, the average accuracy of controlling the machine hand reached 85 %, 88 %, and 90 %, respectively in these three cases.As a result, a new idea is provided for realizing the online robot control system based on EEG and the improvement of recognition rate which brings the convenience for the experimental research and practical application of online BCI technology.关键词
