Abstract
The aim of experiment was to investigate the effect of different levels of green tea powers on blood biochemical indices and antioxdative activities in aged canines. A total of 72 canines of ten year-old with body weights of 34. 5~37. 5 kg were randomly allocated into 4 groups with 3 replicates of 6 canines, four diets containing green tea power (0, 1000, 2000, 4000 mg/kg) were given to feed the canine for 9 weeks. The results indicated that serum levels of AST, ALT and TBII. gradually decreased as increased green tea power added, the decreased levels were significant ( P<0. 01) except the group of 1000 mg/kg. When green tea power increased from 1 000 to 4 000 mg/kg, serum TG and CHO significantly lower than those in control ( P<0. 05), while, serum UA, BUN, GLU, HDL and LDL were not influenced ( P>0. 05 ) . In addition , serum SOD , GSH-PX activities in numbers of aged canine were increased obviously ( P<0. 05 ) , serum MDA levels were decreased obviously ( P<0. 05) by green tea power. In conclusions, there are certain health care function by adding 2 000 mg/kg green tea power in aged canine.关键词
