Abstract

Litopenaeus Vannamei growth characteristics and production results were studied in the trial, which cultured in intensive ponds (0. 167 hm2 、0.333 hm2 、0.667 hm2 ) above sea level, and measured individual length and weight at intervals. The results showed: The relationship between shrimp individual length and individual weight was fit to a typical power function relation. There were no significant differences (p > 0. 05)in both shrimp individual length and individual weight during the early culture stage (0-40d) among ponds;The shrimps in 0.333 hm2 pond grew faster than either in 0. 167 hm2 pond or 0.667 hm2 pond during the culture stage (50-60d) (p <0.05); The shrimps in pond of 0. 167 hm2 or 0.333 hm2 grew faster than in 0.667 hm2 pond in the culture stage after the 60th d (p <0.05 ). There was a linear relationship between shrimp individual length and cultivation days, and a power function relationship between shrimp individual weight and cultivation days. The shrimp survival rate, individual weight and yield in 0. 333 hm2 pond were increased 9.7% and 28.5%, 11.6% and 13.9%, 22.5%, and 46.3% than in 0. 167 hm2 pond and 0. 667 hm2 pond, respectively. The feed conversion ratio in 0. 167 hm2 pond,0. 333 hm2 pond,0.667 hm2 pond was 1.21, 1.28 and 1.18, respectively.
