Abstract
P2P network is widely used. In dealing with the fact that different end hosts in real network have different network interface bandwidth, present overlay multicast models haven't taken bandwidth and latency into consideration very well. In this paper, a hierarchical overlay multicast model based on P2P network(HOMM) is proposed; it takes both the latency and available bandwidth of peers into consideration, introducing the concept of priority as the standard to build ALM tree, and it adopts the idea of building local ALM tree in the cluster.At the same time influence of these operations such as peer arrivals and departures is limited in small local range, which makes whole data forwarding load of P2P network more balance. The result of simulation demonstrates that this model is efficient and robust, it can well adapt to the large scale multicast environment with various network interface bandwidth of end host.关键词
