Stress and Deformation Characteristics of Embankment Dam with Asphalt Concrete Core Wall Founded on Deep Overburden
摘要
Abstract
The compressibility of deep overburden will lead the settlement of embankment dam with asphalt concrete core wall founded on it, and the maximum settlement is located in the places with a distance of 2/3 dam height to dam crest. The deep overburden will also appear horizontal displacement to upper and down streams after dam construction. The asphalt concrete core wall has obvious arching effect which will weaken after storage. The stress and deformation characteristics of a 100 m-high embankment dam with asphalt concrete core wall founded on 120 m-deep overburden are analyzed herein by finite element method.关键词
