Abstract
Objective To study the antibacterial activities of ceftezole sodium and different ratios from matching ceftezole/sulbactam ( 1∶ 1, 1∶2, 1∶4, 1∶8 ) against clinical isolated pathogenic bacteria from Hunan area in vitro. Methods Minimal inhibitory concentrations (MIC) were determined by use of agar dilution method. Results MIC50 of ceftezole/sulbactam (1∶1 ) against Proteus mirabilis and methicillin - sensitivity Staphylococcus epidermidis were 2 - 4 times lower than that of ceftezole alone. But MIC50 of ceftezole/sulbactam with different ratios against other clinical isolated pathogenic bacteria were similar with that of ceftezole alone. Conclusion Ceftezole sodium and different formulas of ceftezole /sulbactam showed similar antibacterial activity against most clinical isolates. Ceftezole sodium was stable against β -lactamase. No better formulations of ceftezole/sulbactam were found in this study and further research should be done.关键词
