Abstract
Gas relay is the main protection of the main transformer, and this protection is the key of the transformer's safety. This article introduced the operation process of the heavy gas protection of the 500 kV transformer, described the configuration and the operative elements of the gas relay, finally presented the reasons: the closing excitation inrush current is large, some gas in the transformer, behavioral value of the gas relay is low, at the same time, put forward the corresponding proposal about transformer's use,maintenance, test and overhaul etc..关键词
