摘要

Abstract

A design for implementing a real time fusion system for visible and IR video based on FPGA is described.The system is made up of XC5VLX50T, which is a core processing device made by Xilinx Company, and small amount of supporting components.Processing flow contains dual-way video capture and buffer, dual-way video color fusion, color transfer, and video output.The color of output video is closer to natural color; therefore the information of two original videos performs much better at the same time.Benefited by the parallel computing, pipelining features of FPGA, the synchronization of two input video and internal operations, the system also achieves real-time operation.
