Abstract
Objective To study the effect of patellar ring for treating patellar fracture.Methods A total of 68 cases of patellar fractures were fixed with patellar rings.All data were evaluated according to bone fracture healing, pain degree, motion degree of knee and radiography study.Results 62 cases were followed up for 6 ～ 20 months, except 6 cases lost.Bone healing was achieved after 3 months for surgery without any cases of failure fixation and dislocation of patellar fracture or other postoperative complication.By Bostman score criterion.the results were excellent in 39 cases and good in 21 cases.The knee motion in all cases was average of 130.4°±2.1°.No statistically significant difference was found compared to the opposite knee ( P ＞ 0.05 ).Conclusions It is a simple , flexible fixation, and a good reduction by using patellar ring for treating patellar fracture.It also has less complication after surgery and permits functional exercise early, especially for comminuted patellar fracture.关键词
