摘要

Abstract

The APX gene from Sorghum was cloned by using EST datebase , in silico cloning etc. . APX gene from Sorghum contained an ORF with the longest length of 753bp , and encoding 250 amino acids. The molecular weight and pI of deduced protein is 27. 1kDa and 5. 135. The phylogenetic analysis result showed that the distance in evolution was shortest between it and cytoplasmic APX ( ACG41151) of maize which is C4 plant, and their relationship is the closest. The Sorghum APX has not signal peptide and is a hydrophilic protein locating in cytoplasm. The 33 - 44 amino acids is its peroxidases active site signature , and the 155 - 165 amino acids is its peroxidases proximal heme - ligand signature. The predicted second and tertiary structure indicates that Sorghum APX contains more random coil and α helix and a small quantity of extended strand.
