Study on paid use of water resources and ecology compensation mechanism based on water quality: a case study of Dongjiang River Basin

Abstract
The policies and the practices of ecology compensation in Dongjiang River Basin were reviewed. It was pointed out that the ecology compensation mechanism based on the development opportunity loss fell short of the fact that water resources belonged to our country, which was the fundamental reason for slow progress of ecology compensation in Dongjiang River Basin. It was put forward that the ecology compensation mechanism based on the paid use of water resource should be built, which was to say that the user should pay to the country and the country divert the proportion of payment to the basin protectors, thus to realize ecology compensation to water source protected area.关键词
