The Cyclic Oxidation Behavior of Supersonic Arc Sprayed 45CT Coating on T91 Steel in 90%Ar-10%H2O
摘要
Abstract
45CT coating was prepared on T91 steel by supersonic arc spraying process. The cyclic oxidation tests of the coated samples were conducted in 90% Ar+ 10% H2O atmosphere at 800℃ and 850℃, respectively. The morphology, microstructures and composition of the coating and oxide scales were examined by XRD and SEM/EDS. It is shown that after oxidation at 800℃ the oxides formed on the coated samples are mainly composed of Cr2O3, NiCr2O4 and NiO, however Fe2O3 is detected after oxidation at 800℃. The coated samples exhibite good cyclic oxidation resistance at 800 ℃. When the coated samples oxidized at 850℃ many cracks are observed in the coatings, Fe diffuses outward through the cracks to form iron oxide, which leads to coating failure during oxidation.关键词
