Abstract
Objective To investigate the risk factors of ischemic leukoaraiosis (IA)in elderly patients.Methods Ischemic LA group with 99 cases were studied. The 99 cases were diagnosed by MRI. classified by imaging method and divided into groups with mild, moderate and severe damage. A single-factor and multi-Logistic regression analysis was employed to determine the risk factors. The level of plasma Hcy of the patients with ischemic LA was measured. Results Hypertension and plasma Hcy were correlated in patients with LA. The plasma Hcy level of the patients with ischemic LA was significantly associated with the disease severity. The differences between the three groups were statistically significant ( P ＜ 0.05 ). Conclusion Hypertension and increased plasma Hcy level are possible risk factors for ischemic LA in the eldely patients.关键词
