摘要

Abstract

The loop current and loop current losses on optical fiber composite overhead ground wire (OPGW) are remarkable due to the large transfer capacity and high load current of transmission line. We applied theoretical calculating and filed measuring method to research the relationship between grounding methods and loop current loss on OPGW of 750 kV transmission line. Calculation results and the actual line measurements are in good agreement. Results show that, among the three grounding methods, such as ground wire and OPGW grounding at every tower, ground wire segment-insulated grounding at one tower and OPGW grounded at every tower, and ground wire segment-insulated grounding at one tower and OPGW grounded transposition, the least loop current loss occurs in the third grounding methods. It is concluded that to change grounding methods of the OPGW grounding at every tower has better economic benefits.
