Mechanical Performance of In-service Composite Insulators
摘要
Abstract
To evaluate the mechanical performances of in-service composite insulators, we experimentally researched the mechanical failing and dynamic loads on about 150 pieces of in-service inner-wedged, outer-wedged and crimped composite insulators. Experimental results show that, after more than ten years' service, inner-wedged composite insulators do not show significant decrease in mechanical performances; the residual mechanical strength of outer-wedged composite insulators has a large dispersivity, and the mechanical reliability of outer-wedged composite insulator is poor; crimped composite insulators have high mechanical performances and the mechanical performances of crimped composite insulator are reliable. The test results provide a reliable experimental guide for evaluating the mechanical reliability of in-service composite insulators.关键词
