摘要
Abstract
Objective:To investigate the effects of insulin glargine in elderly patients with newly diagnosed type 2 diabetes on βcell function. Methods:A total of 50 patients with newly diagnosed type 2 diabetics were randomly divided into two groups, the glargine treatment group (Group G) and aspart 30 treatment group (Group N). All patients were received treatment for 2 weeks. The islet β cell function index were calculated before and after the treatment. Results: Islet function in both groups had some degree of improvement, compared with before treatment were significantly different (P＜0. 001). However after treatment, the delta I30/delta G30 ratio (ΔI30/ΔG30 ) in Group N were obviously improved more than in Group G (P＜0. 05). Conclusions:For the newly diagnosed elderly patients with type 2 diabetes, early using of insulin glargine will help to improve the islet β-cell function.关键词
