摘要

Abstract

Objective: To observe the distribution of chordae willisii in different segments of the superior sagittal sinus (SSS), and understand the function and clinical significance of the chordae willisii.Methods: 15 adult human cadaveric heads were observed by splitting superior walls of the SSS along the long axis, and 5 specimens were studied by cutting continual coronal section.The SSS was divided into four segments from anterior to posterior: segments 1 and 3 were parts of sinus receiving a cluster of cerebral bridging veins, whereas segments 2 and 4 were nontributary segments receiving few veins.The number, location and distribution of all kinds of chordae willisii in different segments of the SSS were recorded.Results: 277 chordae willisiis were found in total.There were 131 valvelike chordae which covered 53% of the dural entrance of cerebral bridging veins against into the SSS, 74% of valvelike chordae were located in the segment 3 and 22% in the segment 1;There were 85 trabecular ones, 58% of whick were located in the segment 3 and 20% in the segment 1; There were 61 lamellar ones, 64% of which were located in the segment 3 and 33% in the segment 4.These three different types of chordae willisiis could be distinguished clearly by sectional anatomy.Conclusion: The chordae willisii in SSS has the specific feature of segmental distribution, possibly affecting the pathogenesis of SSS thrombosis.
