Design of New Type Portable 3D Roughness Measuring Instrument

Abstract
Based on the analysis of the traditional two-D surface roughness measuring instrument, combined with the development tendency of 3-D surface measuring, a kind of portable surface roughness measuring instrument was designed.It can realize precise scan with Y axis and quickly position the work-piece to measure location as well as simple adjustment.It can realize 3-D measuring roughness and evaluation of plane and rotary surface.
