Study on the yield and economic benefit of water-saving and drought resistant rice (WDR) "Hanyou 3" under different cultural practices

Abstract
In order to extend the area of water-saving and drought-resistant rice(WDR)and thus improve water use efficiency of rice, field experiments with the WDR variety “Hanyou 3” were carried out under 5 kinds of cultural practices at Zhuanghang, Fengxian during 2008 - 2009. The results showed that mechanized transplanting got the highest rice yield, no-tillage culture gained the best economic benefit and improved soil physical and chemical properties, and traditional cultural practice was the highest in input but the lowest in income.关键词
