RELATIONSHIP OF SOIL VECTOE MAPS OF DIFFERENT CLASSIFICATION GRADES AND THE SMALLEST DIVIDABLE RASTER
摘要
Abstract
Vector-grid transformation of soil spatial information is the essential basis for interpretive study on land surface C and N, making use of soil data. In transforming soil vector maps into grid maps, how soil vector maps of different classification grades are related to the smallest transformable grid still remains unclear. A 1: 50 000 soil map of Yujiang County, Jiangxi Province, was used to study changes in acreage of the distributions of various types of soils in the process of soil vector maps of various classification grades ( group, sub-group, genus and species) transforming into grid maps different in grid size, given that when the total distribution area of the grids of a certain soil type accounts for 95 %of the area of the soil type in the soil vector map, the corresponding grid could be deemed as the smallest dividable grid. The research defines that the soil type which area is lower than 10 km2 is the small type soil type, area between the 10 km2 and the 100 km2 is the middle area soil type, larger than 100 km2 is the large area soil type. Results show in transforming the soil spatial information from vector into grid, being too small in area or too dispersed in patch distribution, soil types small in area in all the soil classification grades would increase in grid area with the grid decreasing in size and even some soil types, large or moderate in area would show the same trend. Some soil types, large or moderate in area with patches in cluster, would decline in grid area with the grid decreasing in size. For soil groups, subgroups, genus and species, the smallest dividable grid is I km, 0. 2 km, 0. 1 km and 0. 1 km, respectively.关键词
