Abstract

The significant factors influencing the growth, quality and quantity of bioflocculant have been screened out through Placket-Burmah experiment to investigate the nutritional and culture conditions for the production of bioflocculant by Aspergillus sojae using sugarcane bagasse as carbon source. The screened significant factors were then optimized by monofactorial experiment.The PB experimental results showed that the concentration of K2HPO4, reducing sugar and the culture time were significant for the growth of the strain, and the initial pH of culture was notable factor for flocculant activity while the concentrations of reducing sugar and (NH4)2SO4 influenced the crude yield significantly. The single-factor experiments demonstrated that the optimum nutritional and culture conditions were enzymatic hydrolysate of sugarcane bagasse with (13.67±0.54) g·L-1 reducing sugar, 4 g·L-1 (NH4)2SO4,initial pH 5, temperature 30 ℃ and culture time 60 h.
