Abstract
Because of the lack of flow measurement techniques, application of optimization models for smalland-middle-size hydropower plants is restricted to such a narrow range that it often becomes too difficult to realize efficient economic operation under computer monitoring in the plant. Aiming at this problem, a model of optimum operation using a digitized governor curve is developed, and a concept of secondary optimization is proposed to solve the problem caused by the difference between the theoretical and actual performances.Application of this optimal model shows that the monitoring and control of turbine discharge can be effectively achieved and that the errors related to the performance difference can be significantly reduced with the method of secondary optimization.关键词
