Abstract
Objective To evaluate the therapeutic effect of Leflunomide combined with Methotrexate (LEF+ MTX) or Hydroxychloroquine (LEF + HCQ) for the treatment of early severe rheumatoid arthritis. Methods Eighty - four patients with early severe rheumatoid arthritis were randomly divided into three groups: control group, LEF + MTX group and LEF + HCQ group. Before and after the treatment, the changes of clinical symptoms, laboratory test and radiology were evaluated. Results The symptoms of three groups, including joint swelling and tenderness, especially morning stiffness, were ameliorated after the treatment. LEF + MTX group was prior to the others in the retarding joints damage and improvement the integration of Larsen - Dale. However, there was no significant difference in the erythrocyte sedimentation and C- reactive protein indexes. Conclusion LEF combined with MTX is prior to LEF combined with HCQ in the treatment of early severe rheumatoid arthritis.关键词
