Abstract
Objective To observe the therapeutic effect of Somatostatin on severe acute pancreatitis.Methods One hundred patients of severe acute pancreatitis were randomly divided into two groups, the control group(50 cases) received conventional therapy, the treatment group(50 cases) received conventional therapy combined with Somatostatin treatment.Then the comparison was made between the two groups on the outcomes.Results The recovery time of the patients in treatment group and the time for blood amylase to recover to normal and the time to cure this disease were significantly shorter than those of control group ( P ＜ 0.05).Moreover the complication and mortality in patients of treatment group were significantly lower than those of control group( P＜ 0.05).Conclusion Somatostatin is a good inhibitor of in secretion of pancreatin, which has conspicuous therapeutic effect on severe acute pancreatitis.Especially in the initial stage of severe acute pancreatitis, somatostatin should be used in clinical therapy as early as possible.关键词
