Abstract
Objective To assess the outcome of pituitary adenoma resection via monorhinic transsphenoid approach. Methods Clinical manifestations, surgery via monorhinic transsphenoid approach and outcome of 81 cases of pituitary adenoma were summarized retrospectively. The advantages and disadvantages of the surgical approach were estimated. Results Vision and visual field defect improved in different degree postoperatively in the all 56 cases. Headache subsided in the all 20 cases. Of 27 cases, amenorrhea and lactation recovered in 22 cases. Prolatin remained high in 5 cases. Growth hormone returned to normal in 13 cases. Conclusion Monorhinic transsphenoid approach for pituitary adenoma under neural endoscope is simple, safety and effective.关键词
