Abstract

Twenty one Oxyria sinensis clones were identified by means of ISSR molecular markers. The results showed that 84 distinguishable bands were amplified using 8 primers, which were selected from a total of 100 ISSR markers. Among them, 44 bands were polymorphic and the percentage of polymorphic bands reached 52.4%. Seventy three kinds of band profiles were determined in 21 clones and 40 profiles were specific. Comprehensive analysis of these bands showed that 21 clones could be identified by only three primers: UBC 840,UBC 864 and UBC 889. The results that ISSR technique could be a reliable and effective tool to identify Oxyria sinensis clones.
