Reasons for Unexpected Pregnancy among Unmarried Teenagers and Ethical Countermeasures

Abstract
Objective:To Analyze the reasons for unexpected pregnancy among unmarried teenagers and the physical and mental hazards of abortion, aiming to draw attention to sexual morality education for unmarried adolescences from the whole society. Method:Retrospective analysis is conducted among those unmarried teenagers who received abortions during the year 2008 to 2010 in Xi'an central hospital, with relevant research indexes including age, gestational week, and modus operandi. Result: There are 3800 unmarried teenage abortions from the year 2008 to 2010, and there is a trend of younger age among those teenagers. Conclusion :There is a rising trend of unexpected pregnancy among unmarried teenagers, seriously affecting their physical and mental health and future life.Therefore, the sexual morality education targeted for the unmarried teenagers should be strengthened, to reduce unexpected pregnancy.关键词
