摘要

Abstract

The electron beam welding of Ti-6Al-4V titanium alloy with 6 mm thickness is simulated by using finite element analysis. The distribution features and regularities of transient temperature field and temperature variation curves of feature points are analyzed. Indirect coupling of thermal-stress is fulfilled based on the analysis of temperature field,and the stress distribution of Ti-6Al-4V titanium alloy joint by electron beam welding is calculated. Results show that the weld appearance of numerical simulation basically tallies with that of welding experiment, and the shape of temperature field is typically oval with obvious temperature gradient. The stress state of welded joint presents the characteristic of three-dimension residual stress. The distribution of stress is complex and appears randomly in this region,and moreover,the high value stress concentrates on the center of weld metal. However,the peak value stress becomes low with the distance from the weld center. Low stress far away from the weld center and the variation of stress distribution is not great.
