摘要
Abstract
Objective To investigate the relationship between the single nucleotide polymorphism of matrix metalloproteinase - 2 (MMP-2) - 735C/T and essential hypertension accompanied by carotid atherosclerosis in Chinese Han population.Methods Genotypes were detected by polymerase chain reactions followed by restriction analyses with specific endonucleases and their frequencies were determined.Results Individuals with TT genotype were 2.244 times as likely to suffer from essential hypertension with carotid atherosclerosis as those ones with CC and CT genotypes.Conclusion The single nucleotide polymorphism of matrix metalloproteinase -2(MMP -2) - 735C/T is probably associated with carotid atherosclerosis in patients with essential hypertension in Chinese Han population.关键词
