摘要

Abstract

In our paper, Fe2O3 ,MnO2 and Cr2O3 were used to synthesize brown spinel pigment under the conditions of microwave heating. The effects of different synthesis temperature and holding time on phase composition, microstructure and performance of coloration were discussed. The result show that brown spinel pigment with the features of fine, regular and uniform grain could be synthesized at the temperature of 1100 C for 10 min. Main crystal phase of the pigment are Mn1.5Cr1.5O4, MnFe2O4 and Mn3O4. As the increasing of synthesis temperature and prolonging of holding time, the red a* increases and the lightness decreases. However, test proved that longer time would hurt the performance of coloration and 10 min is preferable at the synthesis temperature of 1100 C.
