Abstract
Objective:To summarize the experience of laparoscopic splenectomy (LS). Methods:IS was performed in 16 patients from 2004 to 2010. The procedure included: ( 1 ) a right semi-lateral position was used and adjusted for different stages in the procedure, (2) exposure of the operative field using blunt end dissectors, ( 3 ) different instruments were engaged to mobilize the spleen and staple the hilus, and (4) specimen was extracted by an intrauterine suction curette which shortened the time of procedure. Results:Two of 16 were converted to open splenectomy. The mean operating time was (124 ±52) min and mean blood loss was (150 ± 120)ml. One patient had postoperative pancreatic fistula which was cured by abdominal flushing with continuing double cannula suction and enteral nutrition. Conclusions:By using blunt end dissector to expose the operating field ,using different instruments such as LigaSure,ultrasonic scissorsin different stages of the procedure, extracting the spleen by intrauterine suction curette, all of these can simplify the procedure, shorten the operation time ,and finally facilitate this technique spreading to municipal hospital.关键词
