A Back-propagation (BP) Neural Network Based Traffic Mode Choice Model

Abstract
This paper analyzes the related factors affecting resident traffic mode choice and develops a BP neural network based traffic mode choice model based on its strengths in automatically correlating input/output and strong learning capability. The model is verified by 2009 residential travel survey data from City of Jinan. The results show that the model has good prediction accuracy and can be utilized for resident trip traffic mode choice forecast.关键词
