Abstract
Objective To investigate the expression of MCM7 and p27 in thyroid carcinoma and its clinical significance. Methods Immunohisteohemical S-P method was used to detect the expressions of MCM7 and p27 protein in 50 cases of thyroid carcinoma,30 cases of thyroid adenoma,30 cases of nodular goiter and 20 specimens of normal thyroid tissue. Results The positive rates of MCM7 expression in thyroid carcinoma, thyroid adenoma, nodular goiter and normal thyroid tissue were 100.0% (50/50), 20. 0% ( 6/30 ),23.3% (7/30), 20% (4/20), respectively. The expression of MCM7 protein in thyroid carcinoma was significantly higher than that in thyroid adenoma,nodular goiter and normal thyroid tissue (P <0.01 ,P <0.01 ,P <0. 01 ). The positive rates of p27 expression in thyroid carcinoma,thyroid adenoma,nodular goitre and normal thyroid tissue were 22.0% (11/50) ,100.0% (30/30), 100.0% (30/30) and 100.0% (20/20), respectively. The expression of p27 protein in thyroid carcinoma was significantly lower than that in thyroid adenoma,nodular goiter and normal thyroid tissue (P <0.01 ,P <0.01 ,P <0.01 ).A negative correlation was observed between the expressions of MCM7 and p27 protein in thyroid carcinoma tissue ( r = - 0. 326, P < 0. 01 ). Conclusions The high expression of MCM7 protein and low expression of p27 protein in thyroid carcinoma may be involved in the progression and development of thyroid carcinoma. Combined examination of MCM7 and p27 proteins may be used for early diagnosis of thyroid carcinoma.关键词
