Experimental study on the mixing uniformity of tracer gas

Abstract
In order to study the mixing uniformity between tracer gas and gas stream, experiments in a 0. 300 m internal diameter and 90°bending duct were presented, which CO and air selected as tracer gas and gas stream.The results showed that the mixing between the tracer gas and air was considered to be uniformed downstream of the bending duct at the sampling point of 12D (D is the internal diameter of pipe) and l5D when the flow rate above 3.2 m/s, which the relative errors of the radial and axial tracer gas average volume fractions were below 4%, and the measured average volume fractions of the tracer gas within the theoretical ones. Therefore, the sampling points of the duct can be set at the locations that satisfied by the above conditions when gas flowmeter calibration with tracer gas technique on the industrial gas pipeline transportation.关键词
