摘要
Abstract
As one of DLI2 (Digital Libraries Initiative Phase Ⅱ) projects and sponsored by the US NSF, the Cuneiform Digital Library Initiative is the product of an intermational team-work effort from historians on Mesopotamain culture,archaeologists and museum curators, aiming to make cuneiform tablets available freely via the intenet.the project was initiated in 1998 by the University of Califomia at Los Angeles and Max Planck Institute for the history of Science in Berlin. The article provides an extended review on the project's backgrounds,site construction,resources organization,technological features and services provided.Authors' comments and suggestions are also given for future improvements of the projects.关键词
