Study on the Effects of 6-BA on the Seed Germination and Sprout Growth

Abstract
[Objective] The research aimed to know the regulation of 6-BA in the germination and growth of plants and increase the breeding and cultivation efficiency. [Method] Different concentration of 6-BA was used to treat soybean seeds and observe and study the seed germination rate and the growth situations of hypocotyl and radicel. [Result] 6-BA at low concentration could promote the germination of soybean and 6-BA at high concentration (10 mg/L) could inhibit the seed germination of soybean. 6-BA at low concentrations (0.01 and 0.1 mg/L) promoted the elongation of soybean hypocotyl and radicel and 6-BA at low concentrations (10 mg/L) inhibited the elongation of soybean hypocotyl and radicel. The best hypocotyl-radicel ratio could be obtained when the concentration of 6-BA was 10 mg/L. 6-BA could increase the thickness of hypocotyl. [Conclusion] 6-BA at appropriate concentrations could enhance the yield and quality of agricultural products.关键词
