Abstract
Development, classification, and branches in hydrological sciences are reviewed in this paper. Major achievements and progresses in Beijing Normal University during past years are summarized. Several related organizations and typical achievements obtained in the field of hydrology and water resources in the College of Water Sciences have been presented. It shows that development of science and technology is the driving force, and societal need is the source for the development of hydrological sciences. Development and growth of hydrology and water resources in Beijing Normal University reflects needs from society, necessity from society developments. It is an opportunity, and a challenge for the development of Beijing Normal University.关键词
